The Fuel Price Outlook, calls for a yearly national average of $2.64/gallon, a far cry from 2014's yearly national average of $3.34/gallon. This means that for every 100 Gls of gas you pump into your car, you will be saving $70!! If you do the average 1,000 miles per month and your car gives you about 20 miles per Gallon, you will save more than $400 in 2015 with respect to last year. For a more accurate calculation of your total savings for 2015, use the following formula: $0.7 x Miles you travel per year ÷ Avg. fuel efficiency of your car.
GasBuddy’s forecast sees one month in which the national average may breach $3.00/Gl: May, while January will likely see the lowest monthly average of the year.
